Sarah Hogg, Viscountess Hailsham

Sarah Elizabeth Mary Hogg, Viscountess Hailsham, Baroness Hogg, of Kettle Thorpe in the County of Lincolnshire (birth name: Sarah Elizabeth Mary Boyd - Carpenter, born May 14, 1946) is a British journalist and politician of the Conservative Party, as Life Peeress since 1995 member of the House of Lords.

Life

Journalist and member of Prime Minister John Major

After attending St. Mary 's School in Ascot, and studied at the Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford was Sarah Hogg, daughter of politician John Boyd - Carpenter, Baron Boyd - Carpenter and married to Douglas Hogg since 1968, 1968-1981 journalist for the weekly newspaper the Economist.

She then moved as a business editor for the Sunday newspaper The Sunday Times, before it was from 1983 to 1986 a member of the business section of the newspaper The Times. House of Lords member

By Letters patent of 3 February 1995 Sarah Hogg was in 1992 an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Loughborough University came when Life Peeress charged with the title Baroness Hogg, of Kettle Thorpe in the County of Lincolnshire in the peerage. Shortly afterwards, was their introduction ( Introduction) as a member of the House of Lords.
