Rich Hausen is a municipality in the district of Göttingen peers with 552 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2010).

History

Rich Hausen was first mentioned in 1183. However, the street name and Haintor Before the gates indicate an older, probably late medieval village fastening. In the course of municipal reform Satte Hausen was on 1 January 1973 a district of the newly formed community peers.

Attractions

  • The Evangelical Reformed Church in Satte Hausen is a round tower church. The round tower dates from the Middle Ages, the church was built in the 17th century. From this period dates the tower cover Turmbehängung. A part of the defensive wall is obtained. The tower has a diameter of 5.25 m, next to him are part of an inner ring and the outer ring wall which surrounded the church and the churchyard, completely intact. The one located in front of the outer curtain wall, ditch, on which the street names Kirchgraben is mentioned today, has been backfilled and might once have led water. A weathered stone inscription in the outer wall of the plant dated to the year 1432, which would mean that Hans von Uslar - equals, in response to the feuds of the late Middle Ages prompted the edification of the church and tower. In 1461 the church was extended.
