Kerstlingerode is a town in the same district of Göttingen in southern Lower Saxony with 245 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2010).

Location

Kerstlingerode is located about 10 kilometers southeast of Göttingen in the Upper Gartetal. By Kerstlingerode the Garte, a 23 km long tributary of the Leine flows. Immediate neighboring towns are Rittmarshausen in the northwest and Beienrode in the southeast. Transport default, the location of the country's roads L 559 to Göttingen and Duderstadt, as well as the L 567 is connected by Bischhausen.

History

In the course of municipal reform Kerstlingerode was on 1 January 1973 a district of the newly formed community peers.
