Action
The young worker's son David Greene gets the mid-1950s because of his athletic talent as a football player a scholarship to St. Mathews, an elite boarding school in New England. Through its sporting success he gains the attention of the pretty debutante Sally Wheeler. He concealed that he is a Jew, because he is afraid of being marginalized. But his classmate Charlie, which he stretched out the girlfriend, learns about his secret and wants revenge. Once this has been telling everyone classmates, David is only mocked, his roommate Chris Reece is the only one who stands behind him. As then comes out with a history exam that a student has cheated, threatens the professor to flunk the whole class if this is not visible. All students accuse David, although he is innocent. Finally, Charlie is unmasked as the cheater and must leave, according to the code of honor of the school.

Background
