Sebastián Ribas

Sebastián Ribas ( born March 11, 1988 in Montevideo) is an Uruguayan footballer who is currently at Genoa under contract.

Career

Association

Ribas debuted in 2005 Juventud, from whose youth teams he emerged. With the U -20 of the club, he was master of series B. In the season 2005/ 06 he was 17- times used, scored six goals and was runner- División Segunda. In the summer of 2006, he was brought to the former Italian champions Inter Milan, where he came a little after a lending transaction within Italy to Spezia Calcio train. This changed after Ribas was transferred to the French second division club Dijon FCO for the transfer fee of one million euros in 2008. There he became the top scorer, was in the 2010/11 season top scorer and managed simultaneously with his club the climb.

Given its increased attractiveness for clubs with higher ambitions, he joined in the summer of 2011 but again the club and went after three years returned to Italy. But when Genoa he was unable to repeat his earlier successes so far and was first awarded to Portugal and then again to France for AS Monaco in Ligue 2. The club secured a purchase option, with the Ribas in the summer of 2013 from his current contract until 2015 in Genoa could have been bought out. Instead, he was named after a luckless year in Monaco, where he came to no single application in the professional team and only played five games in the second team, loaned for one season to Ecuador to Barcelona SC Guayaquil. The Ecuadorians secured a purchase option. The Ecuadorians he played five games in the league ( no goals ) and two games of the Copa Sudamericana (no gate). End of January 2014, he moved to France on loan to Racing Strasbourg. He signed a contract until the end of the season and completed so far (as of March 19, 2014 ) four league games and scored two goals.

National

At least 2005 Ribas was also a member of the Uruguayan U-17 national team. Playing in the U -17 against the Argentine club All Boys he scored on 10 June 2005 in a 2-0 win another one. Even with the 2:6 defeat to the Brazilian selection on July 18, 2005, he came to the course.

Ribas is the son of the coach Julio Cesar Ribas and Silvana Barbato. He has a sister named Tatiana.
