Seehausen am Staffelsee ( officially: Seehausen a.Staffelsee ) is a municipality and nationally recognized resort in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch -Partenkirchen and the seat of the administrative community of the same name.

Geography

Seehausen Staffelsee located directly in the Oberland region on Staffelsee in Werdenfelser country. The entire Staffelsee with its seven islands belongs to the municipality. History

On the island of Wörth in Staffelsee there are even traces of the Roman period. In the 8th century saw the founding of the monastery Staffelsee, which was dissolved in the 11th century.
