Seydou Keita ( born January 16, 1980 in Bamako ) is a Malian football player.

Career

The beginnings

In 1997 Seydou Keita joined the then 17 -year-old from his Malian homeland to France, where he played in the youth of Olympique Marseille. There he was brought into the first team in 1999, but could not prevail, because although it boast three appearances in the Champions League, but could deny only six season games. He then went to the second division club FC Lorient, with whom he reached immediately move up to the Division 1.
