Shane O'Brien (ice hockey)

Shane O'Brien ( born August 9, 1983 in Port Hope, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 with the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League under contract and playing in parallel for the Abborsford Heat in the American Hockey League.

Playing career

The 1.88 m tall defender started his career with the Kingston Frontenacs and the Toronto St. Michael's Majors in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League before the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 as the 250th player in the eighth round of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim has been selected.
