David Jones (ice hockey)

David Jones ( born August 10, 1984 in Guelph, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 with the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

David Jones was selected during the NHL Entry Draft in the ninth round in 2003 when a total of 288 players from the Colorado Avalanche. First, however, he played one year for the Coquitlam Express of the British Columbia Hockey League and three more seasons for the ice hockey team of Dartmouth College. The 2007/08 season started Jones at the farm team of the avalanche, the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League, for whom he made ​​his debut in professional hockey. On 20 December 2007, he was first appointed by Colorado in their team of the National Hockey League.

His first goal in the NHL scoring winger on 11 March 2008 during a 5-2 victory against the Atlanta Thrashers.

The Canadian winger was transferred on June 27, 2013, an exchange of the Colorado Avalanche with teammates Shane O'Brien to the Calgary Flames. The Avalanche received as consideration Forward Alex Tanguay and the Canadian defender Cory Sarich.
