Joe Colborne
Joe Colborne ( born January 30, 1990 in Calgary, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since February 2011 the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League under contract on their farm team, the Toronto Marlies, playing in the American Hockey League.
Career
Joe Colborne played during his junior time first in the 2004/05 season for the Calgary Titans in the unterklassigen Junior League in Alberta. Following the striker spent a season with the Notre Dame Hounds Midget AAA in Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League, before he went on the ice from the following season for the Camrose Kodiaks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. In his second season with the Camrose Kodiaks Colborne finished the regular season with 90 points as the second best scorer in the league. In the playoffs, the team prevailed and won the Rogers Wireless Cup, the championship of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Following Colborne selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in the first round to 16th position from the Boston Bruins. The following two years were spent the links Sagittarius at the University of Denver and went for the ice hockey team in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association on the ice.
After his debut season he was the All- Rookie team, a national team of the best League newcomers chosen. End of March 2010 signed the Canadians a three-year contract with the Boston Bruins. Even during the 2009/10 season he made his professional debut when Colborne in six games for Boston's farm team, the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, went on the ice. In the following season he was placed in the AHL squad the Bruins and one of the best scorer of the team before the links Sagittarius on February 18, 2011 by the Boston Bruins in a transfer business in common with a first-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2011 and a second-round electoral law was issued in NHL Entry Draft 2012 for Tomas Kaberle to the Toronto Maple Leafs. This sent him then to the farm team for the Toronto Marlies.
In September 2013 he was traded from Toronto for a fourth- round draft pick in the next entry draft to the Calgary Flames.
