Shenkursky District

The Schenkurski rayon (Russian Шенкурский муниципальный район / Schenkurski munizipalny rayon ) is an administrative unit within the Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia. It is located south of the Oblasthauptstadt Arkhangelsk. The administrative center is the city Shenkursk.

Geography

The Schenkurski rayon is located in the southern part of Arkhangelsk Oblast. To the west of Rajons limits the Rajone Njandomski and Plessezki, north of Winogradowski rayon, east of Werchnetojemski rayon, southeast of Ustjanski rayon and south of Welski rayon.
