Shin Kyeong-nim
Shin Kyong - nim ( born April 6, 1936 in Chungju of Chungcheongbuk Province ) is a South Korean poet.
Life
Shin Kyong - nim, born in 1936 in the province of Chungcheongbuk, witnessed the liberation from Japanese colonial rule and the outbreak of the Korean War. Prior to joining the university, he lived at his birthplace. His parents, who belonged to the single layer, attached great importance to the education of their children so that Shin Kyongnim early literary works, such as Lee Kwang -soo, Kim Dong- in, came in contact. 1955 Shin went to Seoul and began studying English at the Dongkuk university.
After his debut with Reed in 1956 and 1965 followed a time without poetic creation. He founded with members of a student movement, although a reading circle, but after one of them was arrested, he returned to his home village. In 1965 he returned to Seoul and took his poetic activity again. In the book of poems Bauerntanz (1973 ) reproduced the joys and sufferings of the peasants in the countryside. In Korea, the work met with great interest. Shin also released after many poems, poetry and traditional folk songs harmoniously combined together.
