History

To 806 was the first documentary mention of the place. In the 13th century there were probably at market survey. Simbach belonged to Rentamt Landshut and the district court Landau of the Electorate of Bavaria. Simbach had a market with far-reaching court magistrate own rights. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community. Simbach had a station on the former railway line Landau Arnstorf.

Incorporations

On 1 July 1972, the until then independent municipality Haunersdorf was incorporated. On 1 January and on 1 April 1973 and 1 January 1981 were parts of the market rice Bach added.
