Football

For a long time the club played only unterklassig. 2000 succeeded the club the championship in the third Deild, the third division, and thus the promotion to the second division. There Skala became an instant table runner and thus qualified for the relegation match against the second-bottom of the first Deild (now Effodeildin ), B71 Sandur. After a 0-1 home defeat in the first match of the direct walkover was taken into Faroese upper house perfectly by a clear 4-1 win in the return leg.

Here, the club played in the first season in 2002 against relegation, which could be avoided with one point ahead of the relegation place. The following year, the season was ended on the relegation place, the runners-up of the second Deild, TB Tvøroyri, but was outclassed by a 1-1 draw in the first match on home place with 7-0.

2004 ended Skala ÍF the championship in third place in the standings, one year later, the club was four points behind runner- B36 Tórshavn and was thus in the season 2006/ 07 for the first time to participate in the UEFA Cup qualification. There, however, the association was denied by the Norwegian representative IK Start with two defeats. 2008, as Table of the descent into the first Deild. A year of relegation was missed by only one point, so that was also the last but one relegation from the second Deild. The climb to the first division thus went as fast as vonstatten the descent into the low ranks. 2010 succeeded as First Place of the direct promotion back to the 1st Deild.
