Skip Bifferty

Skip Bifferty was an English psychedelic rock band in the second half of the 1960s.

History

Skip Bifferty was created in 1966 from the band The Chosen Few, as their singer Alan Hull was (later of Lindisfarne ) replaced by Graham Bell. The other band members were Mick Gallagher (keyboards), Colin Gibson (bass ), John Turnbull (guitar) and Tommy Jackman (drums). Your manager Don Arden, father of Sharon Osbourne, gave them a recording contract with RCA Records.

The group recorded a number of singles and an album. After disputes with Arden they made early in 1969 under the name Heavy Jelly one last shot, where Paul Nichols sat on drums. After the group split up.

Bell, Turnbull and Gallagher came in 1971 as Bell & Arc on. Bassist Gibson worked with Ginger Baker, Bert Jansch, Alvin Lee and Van Morrison. John Turnbull and Mick Gallagher played in 1977 at the Blockheads, Ian Dury 's band.
