Skippy, the bush kangaroo (Original Title: Skippy ) is an Australian television series.

This adventure series for children was produced from 1966 to 1968. The Australian answer to Lassie to a gray kangaroo, which was often depicted with a baseball cap, was a huge success and was sold in 128 countries. It is one next to Flipper, Daktari and Fury of the classics at the animal film series. Directed by, among others, the Australian actor Ed Devereaux, who also played one of the lead roles. From the series 91 episodes were produced. The theme song is by Eric Jupp and was also very well known.
