Skyphos

As Skyphos (Greek σκύφος; plural σκύφοι skyphoi ) refers to an ancient Greek drinking cup with a low foot and two horizontal handles near the mouth. Even the mythical cup of Heracles was a Skyphos, therefore, the vessel is also called Heracles cup.

The vessel type is shown on Greek vases of the Black figure and red-figure style often.

Comparable Roman drinking vessels are referred to as Scyphus.
