Slatiňany

Slatiňany ( German Slatinany ) is a Czech town on the Chrudimka in Okres Chrudim with about 4000 inhabitants.

Slatiňany was first mentioned in 1294 and initially belonged to a local gentry, then from 1525 to 1547 the city of Chrudim. After changing owners it was from 1747 to 1942 the seat of the Auersperg family. 1911 Slatiňany received its town charter.

The main attraction of Slatiňany Slatiňany is the castle in its present form from 1898-1901 and the resident stud.
