Social Democratic Party (Andorra)

The Social Democratic Party ( Catalan: Partit Socialdemòcrata ) is a political party in Andorra, current chairman is Jaume Bartumeu Cassany.

In the elections of April 4, 2001, they received 30 % of the vote and six of 28 seats. This result, it increased in elections to the Parliament on 24 April 2005 at 38.1 % of the votes, the number of seats increased to 11 from a total of 28 The 2009 elections they won with 45.03 % of the vote and placed 14 deputies and the head of government. In the early elections on April 3, 2011 Démocrates won by Andorra absolute majority. The Social Democrats came to 34.85 % and only provide six deputies.

The party is currently a full member of the Socialist International.
