Solomon Islands national futsal team

The Solomon Islands national futsal is a representative selection of Solomon Islands futsal players. The team represents the Solomon Islands Football Federation at international meetings. The team won from 2008 to 2011 four times in a row and took the Ozeanienmeisterschaft 2008, after the Beach soccer team as a second Solomonic choice at all in the finals of a FIFA competition part.

Performance in tournaments

The Solomonic choice adopted for the first time in 2004 at the Ozeanienmeisterschaft part and came in second to last place. Four years later benefited from the absence of serial winner Australia, the Association was changed to the Asian Football Confederation in 2006. The victory at the Ozeanienmeisterschaften qualified you for the World Cup finals in Brazil in 2008, where, however, was a chance, and was subject to, among others, against Russia with the World Cup record score of 31:2. After the World Cup, the Solomon Islands national team maintained its supremacy in Oceania, and also won the following three competitions in the years 2009, 2010 and 2011. With the victory in the discharge of 2011, the team qualified for the 2012 World Championships in Thailand. Solomon was able to celebrate their first World Cup victory 4-3 against the Guatemalan selection in the 2012 World Championships.
