Solution .45

Solution .45 is a Swedish melodic death metal supergroup, founded in 2007. Members of the band were or are members of bands like Scar Symmetry, Miseration, Sonata Arctica, Dark Tranquillity, Divine Fire, Hateform, Kotipelto and Mehida.

History

The band was founded towards the end of 2007. In autumn 2008 the band recorded their first demo with producer Tomas " Plec " Johansson ( Unmoored, Scar Symmetry ). In autumn 2009 the band went into the studio again with Johansson to record their debut album. The album was released on 25 March 2010 under the name For Aeons Past via AFM Records. As a guest singer was heard Mikael Stanne of Dark Tranquillity. The cover was designed by Pär Olofsson ( Immortal, Exodus, The Faceless ). The band recorded on September 15, 2012 part of the thirteenth ProgPower USA. After that, the band from their bassist Anders Edlund separated. Currently the band is working on their second album which will be released at AFM Records again.

Style

The band plays melodic death metal that contains progressive elements. The vocals alternate between clean and guttural vocals.
