Songs of Anarchy: Music from Sons of Anarchy Seasons 1–4

Songs of Anarchy: Music from Sons of Anarchy Seasons 1-4 is the first soundtrack album for the TV series Sons of Anarchy. The album was released on 29 November 2011 on Columbia Records and combines songs from the first four seasons.

Background

The album consists almost entirely of cover versions of famous rock songs. In addition, there is also the theme song This Life on the album. The title song was written by Curtis Stigers, Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver ), Bob Thiele Jr., Kurt Sutter and the inventor of the series. The song was nominated for an Emmy and won an award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers ( ASCAP ).

On the album, among others, Anvil, Franky Perez ( Scars on Broadway ), Lions, Alison Mosshart ( The Kills and Dead Weather ) involved. With Katey Sagal also an actress from the series involved in the soundtrack.

Some of the songs were previously released on three EPs on iTunes: Sons of Anarchy: North Country (2009), Sons of Anarchy: Shelter (2009) and Sons of Anarchy: The King is Gone (2010).

2012 appeared a second part of the soundtrack, entitled Sons of Anarchy: Songs of Anarchy Vol II

The album reached # 130 on the Billboard 200 in the Special Charts Top Skirt and Top Soundtracks album, it reached 12 Top -20 finishes with space 18 or space.
