Soslan Tigiev

Soslan Tigijew ( Uzbek Soslan Tigiyev; born October 12, 1983 in Tashkent) is an Uzbek wrestler of Ossetian origin. He won at the Olympics in Beijing in 2008 and a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London a bronze medal in the welterweight division in free style. In November 2012 his bronze medal from London was disallowed because of proven doping.

Career

Soslan Tigijew began at the age of nine years in 1992 with the rings, focusing on the free style. He comes from a family Ossetian wrestler. His brother Taimuraz won a silver medal in free -style light heavyweight at the 2008 Olympic Games. Soslan Tigijew trained in the Uzbek wrestler Centre in Tashkent. His coach is Kazbegi Dedegkajew. The 1.72 meter tall athlete competes in the welter or middleweight. He studied at the Staatl. - Gorsky University in Vladikavkaz Agricultural Sciences.

In the junior level he was at no international championships at the start. In the senior, he started for the first time in the year 2005 for those championships. In the years 2009-2011 Soslan Tigijew started with no international championships. 2012 but he managed a comeback. He defeated his compatriot Rashid Kurbanov, who had won the ticket to the Olympics for Uzbekistan by a tournament victory in Astana, in the Uzbek Olympic excretion and therefore could go at the Olympic Games in London at the start. In a sample taken during the Olympics doping test Tigijew was detected the prohibited substance Methylhexaneamine, the Olympic bronze medal was taken from him then.
