State Services Commission

The State Services Commission (SSC ) ( German: State Services Commission), called in Māori Te Komihana O Nga Tari Kāwanatanga, is the leading advisor to the New Zealand Government in relation to the management system of state services and works with the authorities of public and non - public service closely.

She is one of the three central bodies of the state, which are responsible for the management, coordination and monitoring of total government services. The other two are the Prime Minister and the Cabinet together on one side and the Treasury ( German: the Treasury ) on the other side.

Tasks

The Commission's statutory duties are:

  • To appoint the chief executives ( directors) of the various public and non-public service activities and monitor
  • Create audit reports on the services provided and the capabilities of all public and non-public services,
  • To provide leadership and guidance in terms of integrity and behavior of civil servants,
  • To allow equal and fair employment opportunities throughout the public service,
  • To lead the e -government program and monitor
  • The government to advise on the structuring of the State services.
