Stefan Schröder (born 17 July 1981 in Schwerin ) is a German handball player. He plays the position of right winger.
Career
Stefan Schröder began playing handball in the youth department of the SV Post Schwerin. Then, the left-hander joined the SG Flensburg- Handewitt in the field of youth and later in the men's area, he was active at first. In 2004 he moved on loan to HSG Dusseldorf. Since 1 July 2005, Schroeder plays for HSV Hamburg in the Handball Bundesliga.
On June 6, 2009 Schröder presented with 21 hits in a game a new Bundesliga record.
Private
Schroeder is married to Stefanie, the daughter of former German handball national player Roberto Pries, with whom he has three children.
