Stefano Anzi

Stefano Anzi ( born May 21, 1949 in Bormio ) is an Italian entrepreneur and former ski racer. He ran only downhill race.

Biography

Anzi launched from 1969 to World Cup races. At the World Cup 1970 he went on the Saslong in Val Gardena to seventh place, but was disqualified because of a Torfehlers. The first World Cup points he won on February 21, 1970 in Jackson Hole. The first podium finish followed almost a year later, on 18 February 1971 in Sugarloaf. The next day he won for the only time a World Cup race.

The downhill race at the Olympic Winter Games in 1972 ended Anzi in 11th place after the seventh place at the 1974 World Cup in St. Moritz he resigned. In 1976, Anzi in Turin with his teammate Giuliano Besson, the sportswear companies Anzi Besson.
