Steinfeld is a market town with 2047 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Spittal an der Drau in Carinthia.

Geography

Steinfeld is in average 617 meters above sea level in the Upper Drau Valley at the foot of Kreuzeckgruppe.

The municipality is divided into five cadastral Fellbach, Gerlamoos, Radlach, composting and stone field.

History

The parish church in Radlach as well as the name of today's main town of the municipality were 1267/68 mentioned in the ducal land register first documented. The coat of arms shows " through an ascending red lace of gold and silver forked plate.
