Geography
Geographical Location
Stone Meadows is part of the Franconian Forest nature park and situated in the valley of the Unterrodach.

History
In 1323 Stone Meadows was first mentioned. The market rights were granted to the municipality on August 11, 1939.
Incorporations
On 1 May 1978, the formerly independent communities Birnbaum and Nurn as well as parts of the territory of the dissolved municipality Neufang were incorporated.

The coat of arms description reads: " Split front and shared by Green and silver; above a silver stone block, down a red oblique wave beams; the back of a covered gold with a silver slant bar, red reinforced black lion. "
