Stephan Salger

Stephan Salger ( born January 30, 1990 in Düren ) is a German football player. He plays in defense mostly on the left position, but is also used as a defensive midfielder.

Club career

Salger moved at the age of twelve years to the first FC Cologne. After he had gone through all the youth teams of Cologne, he came to the 2009/10 season in the second team of the club. In his first season in the Regionalliga West, he was 26- times on the court, scoring a goal.

In the summer of 2010 he made ​​the jump to the first team. His debut for the 1st FC Cologne he gave on 15 August 2010 at the DFB Cup match against the ZFC Meuselwitz. On the first day of the season 2010/11 against 1 FC Kaiserslautern he stood by his first professional league game in the starting lineup.

For the 2011/12 season Salger was loaned to second-division VfL Osnabrück relegated.
