Stillwater (West Coast)

Stillwater is a town in the Grey District in the West Coast region on the South Island of New Zealand. It is located east of Greymouth at the mouth of the Arnold River in the Grey River.

The town is located on State Highway 7 between Brunner in the west and Kamaka in the Northeast. A connecting road runs along the Arnold River across Lake Brunner south to State Highway 73

In Stillwater, the Stillwater branch line branches - Westport Line of the Midland Line from. The express trains of the TranzAlpine happen Stillwater, have here but no support. Until the mid-20th century the place was holding point for regional transport.
