They called themselves "Blade Runner " (a reference to the eponymous film ) and appeared in the Universal Wrestling Federation ( UWF ) to. After Hellwig left the UWF pretty fast, did you Borden to Facebook and let him tag team champion will be together with Rick Steiner UWF.

National Wrestling Alliance / World Championship Wrestling (1987-2001)

After Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling in the 1980s leading the promotion UWF bought up within the National Wrestling Alliance in 1987, Borden went on for this and quickly developed into one of their stars. In the first Clash of the Champions event in March 1988, he began a feud with the program reigning NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair and finally the group, The Four Horsemen. His first title in the League received Borden early 1989, when he defeated the NWA Television Champion Mike Rotunda. There was a feud with The Great Mutah program, during which the Television Champion title was declared in July 1989 after a contentious decision vacant. At the end of the Four Horsemen with Borden as a fourth member in addition to flair, Arn Anderson and Ole Anderson were reformed.

Only a few months later at the event Clash of the Champions X Borden was again excluded because he wanted a title shot against Ric Flair loud storyline. The real reason for the suspension was a knee injury. After his recovery, Borden formed, along with Lex Luger, the Steiner Brothers, Paul Orndorff, El Gigante and the Junkyard Dog grouping " Dudes With Attitudes". At the event, The Great American Bash 1990, he finally won the NWA World Heavyweight Champion title from Flair.

Borden had to give flair to the title on January 11, 1991. Shortly thereafter, WCW officially broke from the umbrella organization National Wrestling Alliance and led to the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and the WCW World Tag Team Championship own title, which replaced the corresponding NWA title as the highest awards of the promotion. The end of 1991, there was Borden's first of six regencies, as WCW World Heavyweight Champion by Luger defeated at the event SuperBrawl II on 29 February 1992.

During a feud with Big Van Vader lost the title Borden. After intermediate programs against Cactus Jack and Jake " The Snake" Roberts Borden his feud with Vader program took in "King of the Cable" tournament again. Borden received the title on 11 March 1993, a tour in London at short notice back in to make it again just six days later need.

The following year, Borden still feuded against Rick Rude and Vader; he was against the latter in the event WCW Slamboree WCW International World Championship (the second World Title WCW and de facto successor to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship ). Shortly thereafter, one made WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair for Heel and let him Borden in a title unification match at Clash of the Champions XXVII defeat. The rest of the year and the majority of the 1995 Borden joined the team with the newly obligated by the WCW Hulk Hogan against the two each from Kevin Sullivan mentioned groupings Three Faces of Fear and later Dungeon of Doom.

From October 1995 Borden began for the rest of the year a feud with the Four Horsemen program, where he was supported by Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage. In early 1996, he teamed with Lex Luger, who had returned to WCW in September 1995, and received him with the WCW World Tag Team Champions title of Harlem Heat. On 24 June 1996, she lost the title at WCW Monday Nitro back to Harlem Heat.

In summer 1996, the new storyline to the nWo began. By Lex Luger and Randy Savage he feuded with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall and their secret partner who later as the new heel character Hollywood Hogan turned out. The feud between Borden and the nWo should be one of the most durable this time. Borden's character was changed in the course of this. In various events, he appeared mysteriously in the stands. His new appearance was obviously inspired by the movie The Crow and thus more strongly by his old appearance as a surfer with colorful face paint from. Sting was presented as a kind of silent avenger; he hardly spoke, wore a long black coat and corpse paint. He also established at this time a black baseball bat as his trademark and was often suddenly lowered down from the ceiling.

In the event Uncensored 1997 Borden's new character was definitely an opponent of the nWo to detect and became the leader of the WCW against the grouping represented now as a separate promotion. At Starrcade 1997 denied Borden, after about 18 months of ring break, a title match against WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Hogan won preliminary, but after an intervention by Bret Hart, the decision was reverted and Borden received after a restart for the third time WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Because of the controversial end of the match he was stripped of the title a week later, but he got him again in a rematch against Hogan. At Spring Stampede in April 1998, he had to give up on the nWo member Randy Savage the title.

Since the now two -year-long nWo storyline was maxed out slowly, told you the grouping into two camps on: The nWo Hollywood, led by Hogan was a heel group, counterbalanced by the nWo Wolfpac with their leader Kevin Nash. Borden arrived two months later to Wolfpac and took over their red-black colors in his face paint and his clothing. Along with Nash, he received in June the vacant tag team titles he had previously held with The Giant. After the nWo as a heel group reunited in January 1999, he left this. He defended the world heavyweight title at Halloween Havoc against Hogan, but had to give him the same night to Bill Goldberg. In 2000, he began a feud with the newcomer Vampiro, which increased its popularity greatly. After he was injured by Scott Steiner, he left WCW. After the purchase of the Promotion by its competitor World Wrestling Entertainment, he returned for the latest edition of WCW Monday Nitro TV show and defeating his longtime rival Ric Flair at the last WCW match ever.

Unlike other wrestlers like Booker T, Bill Goldberg, Scott Steiner, Ric Flair or Borden was one of the few high profile WCW wrestlers who despite the efforts Vincent K. McMahon's not competed after the purchase of WCW for the former WWE League competition.

World Wrestling All-Stars (2002-2003)

Borden returned in late 2002 back to the wrestling business and toured with the australischstämmigen promotion World Wrestling All-Stars ( WWA ), who wanted to be the successor of WCW as the second strongest promotion on the North American market in vain. His first match was a tag team match with Lex Luger against Buff Bagwell and Malice ( Jerry Tuite ). On December 23, 2002, he was in Zurich the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. He finally lost it at the last event of the WWA on 25 May 2003 in New Zealand at the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett. Thus, the two tracks are combined.

However, only shortly after Borden returned and feuded against the group "Planet Jarrett ". Subsequently, he was involved in the events surrounding the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. After a two month break Borden returned at the event Bound for Glory 2006 with a new outfit back which was a combination of his three gimmicks ( surfer, Crow, Wolfpac ) and won by more than 16 years for the second time NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Jarrett. After a month he had to relinquish the title to Abyss at Genesis 2006.

In September 2008, we enrolled him in a feud program against the younger generation of wrestlers, which was represented mainly by AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. Then Borden founded on 23 October 2008 along with Kurt Angle, Booker T, Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner, Stable The Main Event Mafia ( MEM short ).
