Strunkovice nad BlanicÃ
Strunkovice nad Blanicí ( German Strunkowitz at the Flanitz ) is a patch in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers north-east of Prachatice and belongs to Okres Prachatice.
Geography
Strunkovice located on both sides of Blanice in the hills of the Šumava foothills. North of the village flows the Dubský creek into the river, behind the 582 m high Hájek rises. To the east runs the railway line between Volary and Vodňany, at the Strunkovice has a railway station.
Neighboring towns are Borčice and Hájek in the north, and Blanice Blanická in the northeast, and Šipoun Protivec in the east, and Svojnice Hracholusky to the southeast, and Těšovice Budkov in the southwest, and Žíchovec Chocholatá Lhota in the west and Dvorec in the northwest.
History
First mentioned was the place Ztronkovice 1227 in a deed Ottokar I. Přemysl for the monastery of St. George at Hradcany, the 1233 by Ottokar's son Wenceslaus I and Pope Gregory IX. was confirmed. At the end of the 13th century, the Rosenbergs bought the place in 1290 Wok to Cesky Krumlov Strunkovice and Fridland was named as owner. In this period was built on a rocky promontory above the Blanice a castle that was desolate in the Hussite Wars. Since 1351 the town was connected to the rule Bavorov. 1504 Strunkovice was raised by Peter IV of Rosenberg to town.
After the abolition of patrimonial Strunkovice in 1850 for the independent market town. After the Second World War, this status was not renewed and Strunkovice sank to the village. On 10 October 2006 Strunkovice was raised again for Městys ( spots).
