Suzuki MR Wagon

The Suzuki MR Wagon is a kei car the Japanese automaker Suzuki. It is offered only in Japan. Also in Japan, the Nissan Moco is offered, which is identical to the MR Wagon. 1st Generation (2001-2007)

On 4 December 2001, the first generation of the MR Wagon came on the market. He was from a 40 kW ( 54 hp) 3-cylinder or a 44 kW (60 hp) 3-cylinder. The latter was turbo charged. Both engines could be ordered with either front - or all-wheel drive. 2005 was a hydrogen version, which was developed in cooperation with General Motors presented.

The Nissan Moco was introduced as a concept in 2001 at the 35th Tokyo Motor Show and came on 10 April 2002 on the market. He had the same engines as the Suzuki. The biggest difference between Moco and MR Wagon was that the grill of the Nissan was two fold. He looked like the Nissan Primera P12.

The first generation came in 2006 as Maruti Zen Estilo in the Indian market. However, the Zen Estilo was powered by a 1.1 -liter engine, which was built in Japan in Suzuki Wagon R. In India, the first-generation MR Wagon / Zen Estilo is sold, but it was renamed Maruti Suzuki Estilo 2009. 2009, the design of the Estilo has been slightly modified so that it no longer looked exactly like the Japanese version.

The second-generation MR Wagon was presented at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show in 2005 as a concept called Mom 's Personal Wagon. This particular name came from the fact that the concept car has been perfectly tailored for mothers who have to chauffeur their children. One of the many Clous were a sliding side door. But none of these refinements went into series production, which began on 20 January 2006. The Moco went until 1 February 2006 in the series because he had the keyless start system ( Keyless Go).
