Švedlár

Švedlár ( Schwedler German, Hungarian Svedlér ) a municipality in Slovakia is located in the Zips.

To settlers settled in the 14th century down to the left Hnilec - shore and founded the village. After a short time Švedlár already got town character and won by the copper smelting fast in importance.

In the 19th century fell into the meaning, and many inhabitants emigrated. After the Second World War almost all ethnic German inhabitants were expelled.

In recent years there has been in place for many changes, much has been renovated by the better economic situation and new stores were opened.
