Sylvain Dufresne

Sylvain Dufresne (2013 )

Sylvain Dufresne ( born July 24, 1978 in Waterloo, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since 2011 he is at the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble in Ligue Magnus under contract.

Career

Dufresne began his career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team in the Chicoutimi Sagueneens, for whom he played until 1997. Then, the right-handed shooter moved to league rivals Sherbrooke Faucons and was there in 1997 and a year later the top scoring defender of his team. 1999 signed a contract with the Dufresne Baton Rouge Kingfish of the East Coast Hockey League, which he left after two seasons back to hire at the Flint Generals of the United Hockey League. During this time he was also in the American Hockey League for the Hamilton Bulldogs used and completed seven games.

After further games for Toledo Storm of the ECHL the Canadians moved back to the AHL, where he managed the Springfield Falcons went on the ice for two years at the Rochester Americans and one season. 2007 first he transferred to the Central Hockey League with the Odessa Jackalopes, the Dufresne after 22 games left and went in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen the Herning Blue Fox. With the team he was Danish Champion in 2008.

In the 2009/10 season Dufresne was in the squad Crimmitschau Eispiraten from the 2nd Bundesliga, who left after the season again and moved to SG Pontebba from the Italian Serie A1. In Italy, the Canadians stayed one season before he signed a contract with the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble in Ligue Magnus in April 2011.
