Style, instrumentation and

The direction taken the band Sigur Rós on this album, continues the previous works. The feeling of the board is a happier and rockigeres than the previous plate ( ), but without the specifics to lose, which accounts for Sigur Rós. While the songs have been recorded on () for the most part alone of the four band members, the Icelandic string quartet Amiina was used for Takk .... Particularly striking is their contribution to the songs Hoppípolla, Milano, Gong and Andvari. For the song Sé read a celesta was also first used. The title Sé read can also be seen as a pun in this case, as it is pronounced in Icelandic in the same way as Celesta.
