Tamara Larrea

Tamara Larrea Peraza ( born November 25, 1973 in Havana ) is a former Cuban beach volleyball player. She participated in three Olympic Games.

Career

Larrea Peraza played her first Open tournaments in 1998 with Maria Eugenia Quevedo Lavastida. In 2000, she formed a duo for the first time with Dalixia Fernandez Grasset who participated in Sydney at the Olympic tournament. After a clear defeat against the Brazilian silver medalist, the Cubans were still fighting the last sixteen and there were subject to U.S. Americans Davis / Jordan. In 2001 she came with many FIVB tournaments in the top ten. At the World Championships in Klagenfurt they reached the second round without dropping a set, which she lost to Wood / Bragado from the U.S.. The Goodwill Games in Brisbane, they finished in eighth place. 2002 Larrea Peraza played with Milagros Victoria Crespo Valle and six times in a row at Ninth Open tournaments and Grand Slams.

In 2003, she was reunited with Fernandez Grasset and finished in Rhodes equal fourth place.
