Tang Jiaxuan

Tang Jiaxuan (Chinese唐家璇, Pinyin = Councilor Tang Jiaxuan ) ( born January 1, 1938 in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province) is a Chinese politician. From 1998 to 2003 he was Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

After several positions as a diplomat in Japan, he was 1991 Assistant Chinese Foreign Minister Qian Qichen, 1993 its vice- ministers and followed him in 1998 finally in office. Tang remained Foreign Minister until 2003. Until 2008 he remained as a member of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. In addition Tang from 1997 to 2007 Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
