Terence Hill
Terence Hill ( born March 29 1939 in Venice; civil Mario Girotti ) is an Italo- American actor, film producer, screenwriter and director. Along with Bud Spencer, he formed many years a successful film duo in numerous films, including Western parodies and spaghetti westerns.

Life
Childhood and film debut
Terence Hill was born on 29 March 1939 as Mario Girotti in Venice. The father Girolamo Girotti comes from Gubbio in the Italian region Umbria, his mother Hildegard Thieme from Dresden. The couple has Oduardo Piero and two more sons. 1943 the family moved to Lommatzsch near Dresden, where his father worked as a chemist for Schering AG. In this city he spent until 1945 the remaining part of his pre-school years. 1947 the family moved to Amelia Italy, where Hill graduated from school and a few semesters studied.
Hill has lived since 1973 in the United States (among Massachusetts) and is now an American citizen.
His first film appearance in 1951, Hill completed twelve years in Vacanze col gangster and walked away with 15 years for three years to acting school. In 1964 he returned to Germany and was seen in some home movies and western movies, including the Karl May movies. Until the late 1980s, he performed regularly as a film actor and is principally engaged in television since the 1990s.
