Tewkesbury Borough

Tewkesbury is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Gloucestershire in England. Council is based in Tewkesbury; significant sights are Ashchurch, Bishop's Cleeve and Winchcombe. The district primarily comprises the countryside north of the towns Cheltenham and Gloucester.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Borough Tewkesbury, the Cheltenham Rural District and part of the Rural District Gloucester. He maintains a partnership with the county Miesbach in Upper Bavaria.
