Geographical location

Thal and Buriet among the so-called inner Rhoden and Altenrhein, Buechen, Staad to the so-called outer Rhoden with the Buechberg than separation.

  • Altenrhein lies at the mouth of the Old Rhine into Lake Constance.

Altenrhein changed in 1924 with the settlement of a branch operation of the Dornier works from a fishing village to an industrially defined settlement. On December 19, 1927 there began the construction of the Dornier Do X and on July 12, 1929 lifted the seaplane for the first time from Lake Constance from.
