The Dudley Boyz

The Dudley Boyz were an American wrestling tag team. This tag team was in Extreme Championship Wrestling as Dudley Boyz and later in WWE as Dudley Boys under contract. From September 2005 to November 2010, the team was seen as Team 3D in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

With a total of 23 championship titles in all major North American leagues as well as at the prestigious Japanese League New Japan Pro Wrestling, the Dudley Boyz, the most successful tag team of the modern wrestling business are.

Career

Extreme Championship Wrestling

Originally launched in 1995 as a comedy act in ECW, the team established a permanent fixture in the organization. The original idea was to market the two dressed in purple - gray wrestler with cardboard glasses as a parody of the Hanson Brothers from the movie Slapshot. But the supposedly originating from Dudleyville brothers came to the public better than we thought and acted soon as a real team of ECW.

On March 15, 1997, they were allowed to win for the first time the title of ECW Tag Team. Overall, they were eight times hold the highest title of this wrestling league and remain so due to the resolution of the original ECW, the eternal record holder.

In addition to the main characters Buh Buh Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley, were added in ECW still several other " family members" added, some of which, however, really only served as a comical supporting role. Others, such as the " patriarch of the family," Big Dick Dudley, and Spike Dudley were, however, regularly yourself as a wrestler on.

World Wrestling Federation / WWE (1999-2005)

1999 changed the Dudleys in the World Wrestling Federation. Buh Buh Ray was here from now on as Bubba Ray known.

The management of the WWF decided to give the two to allow greater recognition own Spezialkampfart. After their reunion, they team tracks have been included in the action by the day. At the Royal Rumble in 2003, they received against the Champions Lance Storm and William Regal for the seventh time overall title. They had this but the next day leave again. At the event, Unforgiven 2003, she received the title for the eighth and last time. They were allowed to keep up to December of the year when Batista and Ric Flair new title holders were.

In keeping with the special event ECW One Night Stand returned Bubba Ray and D-Von back in mid-2005 and appeared in the main fight against Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman. This was also the same time her last WWE appearance. The contracts were not renewed and the Dudley's lost in addition to their commitment and their team name because the rights belong to the WWE.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

Due to the loss of the naming rights was decided to use the name Team 3D. As a striking feature, however, both kept their names and they occur since then as " Brother Ray" and " Brother Devon " on.

As of 21 September 2005 are working together with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. The former Spike Dudley Actor, Matthew Hyson, became effective as of April 13, 2006 under his new ring name " Brother Runt " in TNA on and supported his former gimmick brothers until his release in August 2007.

On 19 April 2009, the tag team wrestling could write history in which there team win Championships in a Philadelphia Street Fight by Beer Money Inc. TNA tag, and could win their 21st title in a major North American league. In the match, and those acquired in Tokyo in January 2009 IWGP Tag Team Championship were at stake, which were held in front of the Team 3D by only three other American tag teams.

To elect new challenger to their TNA title, gave Team 3D on April 21 announced. to hold an open tournament which was eventually won by Beer Money, Inc.. The following title match was Beer Money, Inc. decide thanks to an intervention by the losing in the tournament final British invasion itself and regain the tag team title. Because these events were defending Team 3D at Victory Road their IWGP title against the British and were allowed to remain for the time being victorious. In the return match, however, they had to admit defeat of the invasion and had to go almost 200 -day reign the IWGP title again exits.

On October 18, 2009 Bound for Glory, Team 3D won the IWGP Tag Title against Beer Money, the British Invasion and the tag team of Scott Steiner and Booker T again. On 4 January 2010 at Wrestle Kindom IV of the Japanese organization New Japan Pro Wrestling Tokyo Dome Team 3D gave the IWGP title at No Limit ( Tetsuya Naito and Yujiro ) in a 3 -way hardcore match from. After another sporadic feuds TNA separated the team on 8 November 2010 the tapings of TNA Impact! . There then followed a feud between Devon and Ray until April 2011.

At Lockdown PPV on March 10, 2013, Bully Ray was recognized as president of the grouping Aces & Eights. This led within this Stables to a reunion of Team 3D, since Devon was already unmasked in October 2012 as a member.

Mark LoMonaco

Mark LoMonaco was born on July 14, 1971 in Massapequa, New York. He began his wrestling career in 1991 in ECW after he had been trained by Johnny Rodz and Sonny Blaze. It first started as a terminator, he joined in 1995 as Buh Buh Ray Dudley on. Currently LoMonaco occurs as Bully Ray in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

Devon Hughes

Devon Hughes was born on August 1, 1972 in New Rochelle, New York. As a child a big fan of Hulk Hogan and the Road Warriors he trained wrestler Johnny Rodz on and entered as of this date in various minor leagues. From 13 April 1996, he joined the ECW on as D-Von Dudley. Currently Hughes occurs simply as Devon in TNA.

Matthew Hyson

Matthew Johnathan Hyson was on 13 August 1970 in Providence, Rhode Iceland born. Before he started wrestling, he worked as a primary school teacher. He received his education in the California Wrestling APW. After he came into office two years in various California leagues, he got in 1996 a contract with ECW. Due to its rather puny and youth- like appearance Hyson got the gimmick of Spike Dudley, the "little 18 year old brother" of the Dudley Boyz. He quickly became combined to form a tag team with Balls Mahoney, who just had a feud with the Dudley's.
