The Traveling Wilburys Collection is a compilation album by the supergroup consisting of George Harrison ( † 2001), Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison († 1988) who was involved in the first album. It was on June 17, 2007: published ( USA 11 June 2007). In the U.S., the album reached number nine in the UK number one in Germany and number nine on the charts.
Genesis
The two albums the group Traveling Wilburys Vol 1 and Vol 3 were no longer produced since the mid- 1990s. On June 11, 1999 George Harrison gave an interview in which he said that he had the rights to his Dark Horse / Warner Brothers Publications that have been published 1976-1992 recovered, including that of the Traveling Wilburys. He also announced that a new release is planned with bonus tracks. George Harrison died in November 2001, and thus the release date was delayed until June 2007. Both albums remastered published with additional pieces in a double CD pack with an additional DVD under the title " The Traveling Wilburys Collection" on Rhino Records. The bonus tracks were reworked musical in 2007 by Jeff Lynne and Dhani Harrison. The double album was offered in four versions: the standard edition (2 CDs, 1 DVD, 1 16- page booklet ), as a limited deluxe edition ( cloth-bound, 2 CDs, 1 DVD, 40 - page booklet, postcards, Certificate of Authenticity ), as vinyl edition (2 vinyl records, additional 12 " vinyl record with bonus tracks, book in album size, Postcards / Posters ), and as a digital download edition ( all the pieces of the two CDs including bonus tracks, videos and. interactive booklet ) When additional LP vinyl version have been three versions of songs released, which have not been released as bonus tracks on the two CDs: handle With Care (Extended Version), end of the Line (Extended Version) and not Alone Anymore (Remix).
