Theodor Pištěk (costume designer)

Theodor Pištěk ( born October 25, 1932 in Prague ) is a former Czech costume designer who won an Oscar for Best Costume Design, a César for best costumes as well as a Bohemian lion.

Life

Pištěk comes from a family of Czechoslovak film industry: His father, Theodor Pištěk was an actor, who starred 1921-1959 in 250 films, his mother the actress maña Zenísková. Their sisters Erna Zenísková and Jana Zenísková were at times also worked as actresses as well as the Uncle Fred Bulín and Bretislav Hrstka.
