Theresa May

Theresa May ( born October 1, 1956 in Eastbourne as Theresa Mary Brasier ) is a British Conservative Party politician and since May 2010 Minister of the Interior in the government of David Cameron.

Life

After her schooling May studied at St Hugh 's College, Oxford. In 1977, she earned a master's degree in geography. After graduating May worked from 1977 to 1983 at the Bank of England. After that she worked as a financial consultant for the UKPA ( Association for Payment Clearing Services). In 1992, she lost the general election in the electoral district of North West Durham. At the general election in the constituency Maidenhead however, succeeded in May 's election victory and was a Member of the British House of Commons.

From 2002 to 2003 she held the post of "Chairman " of the Conservative Party, which corresponds most closely to the office of Secretary-General in the German party system.
