David Laws

David Anthony Laws ( born November 30, 1965 in Farnham ) is a British politician of the party Liberal Democrats ( LibDems ) and former investment banker.

Laws is a member of the British House of Commons for the constituency of Yeovil. After the 2010 election was Laws as Chief Secretary to the Treasury (Chief Secretary to the Treasury), member of the cabinet Cameron. A post he held only 12 held until May 29, 2010. He had to resign after the Daily Telegraph reported, had Laws have made cost of the apartment of his significant other as his own expense claims and obtain reimbursement as expenses.

His successor in office was party colleague Danny Alexander.
