Thessaloniki Airport is a Greek airport at Thessaloniki and the main airport of the Greek North. Its official name is Makedonia Airport (Greek Αερολιμένας Θεσσαλονίκης Μακεδονία ), named after the region of Macedonia and the historical region of Macedonia.

It is also used as a military airfield by the Greek Air Force. During the Second World War, operating from here occasionally German aviator distress.

Airlines and destinations

Approach

The airport was overhauled in 1997 and will be further expanded as a result of rising passenger numbers.
