This is Music: The Singles 92-98 is a best of album by the British band The Verve, released on November 1, 2004 on Virgin Records both as a CD and DVD. It summarizes the first 12 singles of the band from the years 1992 to 1998 together plus two previously unreleased songs.

Description

The compilation was named after the single "This Is Music ". As an album cover was a photo from the shoot for the single " She's A Superstar " is selected. The songs " All in the Mind ", " Slide Away " and "Blue " were revised for the digital Single Collection. The Japanese release also includes the song " I See the Door ", which previously appeared as a B- side to "On Your Own".

The two previously unreleased songs, " This Could Be My Moment " and " Monte Carlo " come from the development phase of the album Urban Hymns before lead guitarist Nick McCabe again in 1996 joined the band. They were therefore not only included as a replacement guitarist Simon Tong, who later remained as the fifth member of the band until 1999.

Video compilation

Under the same name and a DVD was released. It contains the European Promo video for the first 12 singles of the band as well as the U.S. version of " Lucky Man ". The additional published American promo clips for the songs " A Man Called Sun ", " Blue ", " The Rolling People" and "Bitter Sweet Symphony ", however, are not included.
