Thomas Bürgler

Thomas Bürgler ( born March 3, 1960 in Illgau, Schwyz ) is a retired Swiss ski racer, as well as his older brother Toni Bürgler.

In its heyday in early 1985, he won two World Cup giant slalom in Schladming and Kranjska Gora. In between his winning the bronze medal was the combination at the World Championships 1985 in Bormio. Partly World Cup podiums, he scored from late 1983 to early 1986 in all disciplines, except in the downhill.

Bürgler was from 1981 to 1988 seven times Swiss Champion (four times in the combination twice in the giant slalom and one in the super- G).
