Thomas Frei (biathlete)
Thomas Frei (born 17 April 1980) is a former Swiss biathlete and cross-country skiers.
Thomas Frei starts for the Ski Club Davos. Since 1999 he has participated in international events in cross-country skiing, first several years only to FIS and Continental Cup competitions. His debut in the Cross Country World Cup at the end of 2002 he gave a 15 -kilometer race in Davos, where he was ranked 84. The sport soldier who also repeatedly took part in World Military Championships, but started rarely in the World Cup. That's why he moved from 2006 to biathlon sports and ran for the last time at the end of the 2006/ 07 cross-country ski race. Best results in this sport were three second placings in FIS races, each of the 15 - kilometer distance.
Things began his international career in the relatively advanced age of 26 in a race during the Biathlon European Cup in Obertilliach. During the sprint, he was ranked first 42 points he still won in the same season as the 17th in the sprint race in Forni Avoltri. The highlight was the European Championship in Bulgaria Bansko, where he gained placements between rank 29 and 32 in individual, sprint and pursuit.
